Outdoor Cameras

Outdoor Cameras are usually IP rated and fully enclosed in weatherproof housings to protect the electronics of the camera from moisture and rain. While there are many similarities between indoor and outdoor security cameras, outdoor cameras are usually designed with a wider viewing angle to keep watch over large outdoor areas and many come with night vision to capture images or video even in the darkest night. To protect the cameras from heat during the day some outdoor cameras come with weather shields or sun shields to protect the lens from damaging UV light and some even come with wipers to remove rain and moisture from the lens.
